Welcome to the Fifth Annual Feast of Singing!

Feast of Singing is a day long choral workshop meant to encourage church and community choirs. Last year the energy of all of the sixty plus voices raised together in song was inspirational to everyone who attended.
Special guest for the Feast of Singing 2010 is George Emlen, music
director of Revels for more than 25 years. George, along with Peter
and Mary Alice Amidon, will focus on music that has been used for ritual
and
celebration over the centuries and in many cultures. Wherever there is
community, there is ritual and celebration -- of the seasons, of the
milestones in human lives, of those moments that touch us deeply --
and usually there is community singing, or at least music. This year's
Feast of Singing will explore some of the music that people sing
together as a way of marking these moments and of building cohesive
communities.
Register now for this special event-- space is limited.
